Insurance coverage and fees

Most families are able to use insurance benefits for lactation services.

We are in-network with many major PPO plans through Lactation Consultants of America. For plans that are not eligible for direct billing, we provide a superbill that can be submitted for insurance reimbursement.

Many families successfully use their insurance benefits through this process.

If you have private insurance, many plans cover lactation services as preventative care, but not all. To check coverage, ask your insurer: “Do I have in-network coverage for lactation services under CPT code S9443 (lactation class) with diagnosis Z39.1, billed as professional services (not facility)?”
