Founder of Bay Area Breastfeeding
Hi, I'm Brandi, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with specialized training in infant oral function.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and have dedicated my career to empowering families through compassionate, evidence-based lactation care.
Becoming a parent is one of life's greatest joys—but it can also feel overwhelming. My goal is to be more than just your lactation consultant; I want to be your advocate, your educator, and a trusted source of support as you navigate feeding your baby with confidence. I believe every family deserves personalized care rooted in the latest evidence-based research while honoring your unique goals, values, and circumstances.
My approach is comprehensive because no two breastfeeding journeys are the same. I view every mother and baby as their own unique team, taking time to understand the whole picture rather than focusing on symptoms alone. Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival, working through feeding challenges, protecting your milk supply, or simply looking for reassurance, I will meet you where you are and create a plan tailored specifically to your family.
My passion for this work began with my own breastfeeding journey. After the birth of my oldest daughter, Ellie, I experienced both the incredible joy and the unexpected challenges of breastfeeding. Those experiences ignited a desire to help other families avoid feeling alone during such a vulnerable season. Then, my son Brooks' feeding journey deepened that passion even further. Navigating oral restrictions, feeding difficulties, and gut health challenges taught me firsthand how complex infant feeding can be—and how important it is to have someone who truly listens, investigates the root cause, and walks beside you without judgment.
Those experiences shaped the consultant I am today. I know how discouraging it can feel when feeding isn't going as expected, and I also know the incredible difference compassionate, knowledgeable support can make. My promise is that you will always be heard, respected, and cared for. Together, we'll work toward helping you meet—and often exceed—your feeding goals in a way that feels right for you and your baby.
For me, lactation isn't simply a profession—it's my calling. I am deeply honored to walk alongside families during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives, and I look forward to supporting yours.

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and lactation consultant. I am here to provide the support you need to achieve your breastfeeding goals while enjoying the beautiful journey!
After graduating from the University of Alabama, I worked for 5 years as a nurse in the neonatal ICU. I then graduated with my master’s degree from UAB and am a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in primary care. Children’s health and development have been the focus of my training and career, and I feel passionate about the role of breastmilk in this.
The support I received while breastfeeding my own two children was invaluable! It is such a gift to provide this support to other moms and to witness the joy that comes as breastfeeding goals are met. I am here to foster support and encouragement during this special time of your lives while guiding you through any challenges that may occur.
